- ASAP: Adamsville Ice Cream Social, Pre-Orders Due – I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM! Join us on May 18th from 7pm to 9pm to have a treat for all. Free face painting and tattoos! All toppings and ice cream are peanut and tree nut free. Please pre-order your ice cream ASAP to guarantee your yummy treat. Any questions, please contact Gemma Altobelli at graltobelli@yahoo.com.

- May 14: Collector’s Night Sign-Up Forms Due — Do you have a special collection you would like to share? Then bring it to Collector’s Night on Friday, May 18th and show it off to your Adamsville friends! Just fill out the attached sign-up sheet and return it to the PTO Mailbox by Monday, May 14th. See the attached form for complete details! Please contact Grant Tormey at gbtormey@verizon.net with any questions.
- May 18: Adamville PTO’s Fabulous Friday Bash – Join us on Friday, May 18th, from 7 pm to 9 pm, for a jam packed night filled with fun family activities! Events include our annual Ice Cream Social, BOGO Book Sale, Collector’s Night, Art @ Adamsville, Clothing Drive, Parent/Staff Volleyball Game, and a 50/50 raffle! Please see the Fabulous Friday flier for more information.
- May 25: Adamsville Field Day (rain Date June 8th) – PARENT VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED! If you would like to help, please return the attached volunteer form to the PTO mailbox by Wednesday, May 22nd.
- June 6: PTO End of the Year Dinner – You are invited to attend our annual PTO End of the Year Dinner at Russo’s Restaurant in Bound Brook on Wednesday, June 6th from 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm. Cost is $30 per person and includes salad, choice of 4 entrees, dessert, soda, coffee & tea. BYOB. All forms are due by Friday, June 1st. Please see the attached form for complete details.
- June 15: Mark your calendars for Friday, June 15th, for the 4th Grade Sendoff. We are planning a fun day for all of our graduating 4th Graders!! Look for more information in the coming weeks. Volunteers are still needed to help – please contact Denise Sheelar at drsheelar@gmail.com or Normal LoConte at nmloconte@aol.com to volunteer.
To all 4th Grade Parents from the Hillside PTO — we are looking forward to seeing you at the Hillside incoming 5th grade orientation on Thursday, May 10th. Attached please find a volunteer request form for Hillside PTO events and fundraisers. You can email the form to us or bring it to the orientation. We will be at the orientation, if you have any questions.
All Hillside PTO Executive Board members are leaving at the end of the year. If you are interested in becoming a member of the PTO Executive Board please contact Lesley McManus at lesley.ken@verizon.net, Michelle Giordano at m3j2giord@verizon.net, or Tina Malone at tmcm448@gmail.com. Please consider volunteering, these positions need to be filled to continue the PTO at Hillside School!
Teacher & Staff Appreciation Idea – If you are looking for a unique way to honor a special teacher or staff member at the end of the school year, why not celebrate them by making a donation in their name to the Education Foundation? All donations are tax deductible.
Box Tops, Shop Once, Give Twice Promotion – Register your ShopRite Price Plus card, purchase 5 participating products during the designated time frame and 5 bonus box tops will be added to Adamsville’s earnings. And $.55 will be donated to the ShopRite Partners in Caring Fund. Please see the attached flier with all the promotion details.
Labels For Education – Did you know that you can help earn 50 bonus points for Adamsville on Facebook? All you have to do is sign into Facebook, search for the Labels for Education page and “like” them, when it asks for a zip code enter: 08807, type: Adamsville as the school name, then select find my school. Thank you for your support!
Yearbook — Do you have any pictures of PTO events? If so, please email them to Wendy O’Hara at wsohara@hotmail.com. Please make a note of the event, grades, classrooms and children included in the pictures you send. Not all pictures received can be used when putting the yearbook together, but we will do our best!
Please look on our web site (www.adamsvillepto.com), read the PTO Newsletter, read the e-blast every Tuesday or look on the front sign outside the school to find out what is going on at Adamsville and be involved in your child’s Education.
